Rooms, tenancies, and tenants
Three different records, and why keeping them separate matters.
A room is part of the building and does not change when someone moves out. A tenancy is one person’s right to occupy that room for a period, at an agreed rent. A tenant is the person, who may hold several tenancies over time or across addresses.
Ending a tenancy therefore never deletes the room or the person — it closes that occupancy period and leaves the history intact for the next agreement, bond return, or dispute.
